Sweet apple roses, a truly exceptional dessert – recipe

It can happen that you have guests at the last minute, or you feel like sweets but don’t have much time. This recipe is the one for you! A delicious recipe , tasty and also very beautiful in its presentation. You will make a great impression!

For 6 roses you need:
– 2 apples (preferably red)
– a rectangular puff pastry roll
– half a lemon
– brown sugar to taste,
– cinnamon to taste
– 3 tablespoons of jam to taste
– a knob of butter

Procedure:
Wash, dry and cut the apples into thin wedges, soften them on a low heat in a saucepan with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter and a cup of water for about 5 minutes and leave to cool.

Then roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips of about 5cm in width, spread 1 tablespoon of jam in the center, arrange the apples overlapping and with the peel facing outwards on the middle of the strip, leaving a small free space at the end.

Close the strip, fold the free part inwards and roll it up on itself, closing the end well, sprinkle the surface with brown sugar, brush the pastry with beaten egg and place the roses on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes, plus another 5 minutes at 220 degrees, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy your meal!!
