We all know that there has been a lot of overindulgence in food and drink during the holidays, and New Year’s resolutions have already proved “unattainable” for some. Goals are not unattainable, as long as we don’t put too much on the plate. The same goes for detoxing .
The latter is often tackled on the ‘first ball’, so to speak, on ‘all or nothing’. You have surely read at least once a fantastic diet that promised you to lose five or even 10 kilograms a week. Or those detox food hacks that promised you health and well-being in just a few days.
The truth is that our organs, especially the liver, deal with ‘detoxification’ every day . However, for all organs, including the liver, to function properly, they sometimes need a little help from us. Below, we present you three simple steps for a complete detox, which is not at all difficult, much less impossible, and helps you cleanse your entire body.
1. Stimulate the gut with plant fiber
The first step to a complete detox is to promote normal bowel function! Plant fibers such as ground flaxseed are an ideal choice. It’s best to leave ground flaxseed in water overnight and drink it in the morning with yogurt, as an addition to cereal or a smoothie. Fiber effectively stimulates digestion and frees the intestines from accumulated toxins.
2. Purify the whole organism
The second step is to purify the blood, ie the liver and kidneys, as well as the accumulated toxins. Enjoy meaty greens and freshly squeezed juices, especially beetroot and celery leaves. Eat cooked vegetables and always choose organic ones so as not to burden your body with toxins. To support the entire digestive system, it is advisable to eat and drink natural fermented products.
3. Drink lots of fluids
Fluids and proper hydration of the body are important in general, but they are even more important during detoxification. On the days you are detoxing, be sure to drink in extra amounts of water!
With these steps you will get rid of unpleasant symptoms and achieve important goals: good digestion, stomach, liver and kidney health and the balance of intestinal flora, which affects overall physical and mental health.
